Stigma Without Impairment: Broadening the Scope of Disability Discrimination Law

Abstract

During oral argument in Murphy v. UPS, a case in which the Supreme Court was asked to decide whether the Americans with Disabilities Act covers individuals whose impairments are mitigated by corrective devices or medication, Justice Antonin Scalia removed his glasses and waved them in the air.
